Talcher,dt 9/8:- DAV under MCL Jagannath area. The birth anniversary of the poet Gangadhar Meher was celebrated in the public school premises. Jyoti Mishra, the principal of the school attended the function as the chief guest and before lighting the lamp, garlanded the photo of Gangadhar Meher. A welcome song was sung by the school students on the occasion of this auspicious day.
The senior teacher of the school, Dr. Antaryami Sahu, gave a summarizing speech on the biography of poet Gangadhar Meher and the strengths of his literary work. School students performed music and dance. Also a quiz competition was held on the occasion. The students who won the competition were awarded by the Chief Guest.Teacher Sudshanshu Kumar Swain offered his vote of thanks.
