12th June 2025, Angul (ONS99: In a spirit of deep devotion and reverence, the divine rituals of Debasnana Purnima were observed today at the Jagannath Temple in Devbhoomi, Jindal Nagar, Angul. The sacred ceremony was attended by Adya Sebak Shri Naveen Jindal, Hon’ble Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra and Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power, and Adya Sebika Smt. Shallu Jindal, Chairperson of Jindal Foundation, with hundreds of devotees from Jindal Nagar and nearby villages in offering prayers to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra.
As the temple bells chimed and the divine atmosphere reverberated with “Jai Jagannath”, the prime servitors led the rituals with absolute sanctity, following the sacred traditions of the Sri Jagannath Temple, Puri.
The day commenced at the auspicious hour of 5 AM with Dwara Phita, Mangal Aarti, Shrikarpura Lagi, Mangalarpana Neeti, Pushpanjali, Sarbanga, and the sacred Snana rituals performed with utmost devotion under the guidance of the Chief Priest.
The highlight of the day was the Dhadi Pahandi of the Chaturdha Murati to the Snana Mandap, where the holy bathing ceremony (Snana Yatra) was performed with 108 pitchers of sacred water, symbolizing purification and divine grace. The rituals were imbued with spiritual fervor and heartfelt devotion.
Speaking on this divine occasion, Shri Naveen Jindal said,
“Feeling truly blessed to witness the divine Snana Yatra of Mahaprabhu Jagannath at our Angul plant. It is not just a festival; it is a moment of spiritual awakening and gratitude. May Mahaprabhu bestow good health, peace, and prosperity upon all.”
Post the Snana rituals, the Anasara Pahandi was observed in the evening, symbolizing the deities’ retreat into the Anabasara Ghara, where they will rest and recuperate for the next 14 days. This sacred interval is revered with devotion, as devotees eagerly await Rath Yatra.
